The life of a baby

Wouldn't it be nice to live the life of a baby? Have everything done for you. And then get to sit on the floor surrounded my toys and books and just play!

We would probably look this happy if we had that life....

oh and guess what, she does have hair! Haha.

 And one last random picture...

She was so naughty when playing with her alphabet magnets yesterday.
Can you find the bad word she spelled!

4th of July

Our 4th was very busy, and fun. In the morning Brinlee and I went to the parade at Porter Park. I didn't bring the camera, oops, but she was pretty cute just staring in awe at all the commotion.

Brinlee got in a nice big nap when we got home and then we went boating with Kim and Tyler.

She enjoyed her first boat ride...

And was super styling out on the lake.

Joey and I got to enjoy some time out tubing without Brinlee, thanks to Sid and Karen!

And this picture just makes me laugh, Kim caught it just at the right time.

Sadly I didn't get any pictures of Brinlee and Dominic hanging out at the beach together or when they played in the water at the beach, just imagine really cute babies having fun :)

We were gone a long time and came home for about 15 minutes before we left for the fireworks in IF.
Brinlee did get a cat nap in on our drive back from the lake but she was pretty tired. On the way home from the fire works she fell asleep while still chewing her cheerio, it was so cute!

This is at the fireworks...I know I should have taken a picture with the fireworks in the background...

Well that was our 4th, the most festive one I've had in a while!

Oh Brinlee

Brinlee has been busy lately. She figured out how to army crawl at 9 months but has recently started to crawl normal. It's not all the time but she's getting the hang of it. Considering she's almost 11months I'd say it's about time.

She has also recently cut one of her top teeth and the other one looks like it's going to poke through any day now.

It's super fun having her more mobile because she follows me everywhere...yeah. So I put up Brinlee's magnetic letters for her so she would have something to do while I cooked.

She loves them.

Mostly just pulling them down, then I have to put them back up so she can take them down again.

She loves to pull all the library books out and her books and any books really.
But today it was the cutest thing, she was flipping through the pages and looking at all the pictures. She did this for a whole hour, no joke. I loved it.

And it was pretty stinkin' cute.
Yes I know these pictures are awful but I didn't want to distract her so I just zoomed and no flash, not a good combo...

Just Yesterday Brinlee figured out how to pull herself to standing on her exersaucer thing.

I'm super proud of her except that it's kinda scary since she hasn't grasped the concept of you let go you fall and it hurts...BUT I want her to learn so I just watch and let her learn.

I should have realized she was going to figure this out since this picture was just a couple weeks ago.

Well enjoy! She's getting big!

Shout Out

I wanted to give a shout out to my amazing husband. Seriously he's the best. Ever. And If you know him pretty well I think you'll be shocked about the information I'm about to disclose.

This last week Joey has eaten all of the following: Cherry tomatos, avacado, cucumbers, and asparagus.
Crazy right?! It gets even better. He did it all willingly, not only willingly but I didn't even ask him to eat any of that! He actually asked me for all of those things! Say what?

Okay so you're probably wondering who this person is that I am talking about because it could not possible be Joey. Well it is. It's crazy how much a baby can change your life. Like every aspect in your life. Including what you eat. I'm always telling Joey that she's going to look at us and what we do and thats how she'll learn. That is a scary thought for us imperfect parents.

Occasionally I will ask Joey to just try something that he doesn't like but I don't force anything because what good would that do.  I have even been trying to eat more things I used to not like because I fear a picky eater. I'm not really sure why thats such a huge thing for me but it is, and I guess Joey caught on.

I could not be more proud of my husband than I am right now. Sure he ate some stuff that he hates, but that showed me how much he cares about Brinlee and how much he cares about me. I could have cried when he told me he wanted some cucumbers and asparagus when I was only getting those for myself. He asked me!

Now that is a great daddy

I thought that this picture was perfect because we are just holding that sweet little baby and staring at her. She has changed us for the better already and she's only 10 months old. We love you baby girl!
