Brinlee's First Snow

Okay so I'm trying to catch up on some blogs I've been wanting to do. Her first snow was the first snow that we were here in Rexburg for (apparently it snowed a little when we were in Spokane at the beginning of October).

So this was November 6th 2011.
We bundled her up and brought her out to see just what snow was. She couldn't have cared less. But we thought it was fun

She had to get a shot with Mommy

 And with Daddy

I'm sure there is much more snow to come, but grateful that it seems to be delayed for now.

These are a few of her favorite things

Brinlee LOVES her little play gym. That blue flower looking thing is actually a mirror and she loves to stare at herself in it. And she's pretty good at grabbing the birdie and making it play music now.

She has loved bathes ever since she first got a real one
(she hated that sponge bath nonsense)

A new favorite for her is staring at our Christmas tree, she likes it with the lights on better of course. It's so cute to see her in awe of something so simple.

And of course she likes to hang with her cousin...on the kitchen table :)

Thanksgiving

I know it's a few days late but I do want to acknowledge Thanksgiving this year because I have a lot to be thankful for. I am very thankful for my little family and especially this little cutie who wakes up so stinkin' smiley now!

*Side note: I was trying to be mad at her the other day when she woke up early from a nap but when I came to find her all smiling I just started laughing. I couldn't be mad at such a cute happy baby!
I know I'm in trouble....

We did Thanksgiving here in Rexburg this year which was a first for both of us not to go home to Spokane. It was fun having our own with our friends Justin and Jessica but I must admit I like it better when I don't do all the cooking! I freaked out when I had to pull the giblets out of the turkey, like really freaked. I was jumping up and down and screaming/laughing. So I pulled out one thing (I don't even want to know what it was) and then Joey did the rest for me. And I totally failed at having everything warm at the same time so there was a lot of reheating going on. So yes Mom and Dad you are geniuses ;)

While I'm on the subject of my parents I do want them to know how thankful I am for them.  I cannot even begin to describe how much I love Brinlee and I am always worried about her. I'm sure that my parents were the same way with me. It's hard, so thank you Mom and Dad.

And of course Joey's parents deserve a thanks as well. He turned out great he really did. I'm sure (really sure) that he gave you some trouble along the way but you did a great job. So thanks for raising my wonderful husband for me! And he is just as crazy about Brinlee as I am.

So did I get pictures of the meal and friends and fun?? nope. To be honest I wasn't too proud of how it looked so why would I bother taking a picture? But I did have to snap one of Brinlee on her first Thanksgiving. And by the time I got one it was night so bad lighting, but stinkin' cute baby!

Look at her holding the pie pan with one hand and pointing at the pie like,
"Can you believe Mom gave me all this?!"
or "This is my pie don't even think about taking it away!"
or "Look at this thing! And I get it!"
or "Can you believe I ate a slice that big?!"
or"FOR REAL?!"
or whatever you'd like to fill in

And I wonder why she has such huge cheeks :)

Halloween??

Okay we did have fun at Halloween time I have just been super busy and haven't posted it yet. But it does deserve a post so better late than never right?

So Joey and I decided last minute to host a little Halloween party because our wards thing was going to be kinda lame and mostly for little kids. So we got most of our friends together the Saturday before Halloween and played games and ate way too many sweets.

Let me just apologize in advance for the pictures. Not only is our camera not super great but it was night time, annnd we were too busy having fun to take really good ones. Better some than none right?

Brinlee gets the first pictures because she is the cutest one! meooow :)
(Don't mind the elephant bib, she's our spit up queen!)

And this little kitty has two giant mice for parents. Pretty awesome idea I thought, unfortunately I can't take credit for it. Natalie says it was hers but Joey says it was his...who knows!

Oh and I did make our costumes, I was super excited about how the ears turned out, since I finished them the same day as the party.

I know crappy quality, but awesome picture! Look at how happy that mice is to eat his owl cupcake :)

I guess you could say this was the next cutest baby at the party ;)
(I have no biases)
This is how little Dominic the cow showed up to party, already wasted before it even started!

Don't worry he woke up and showed off his costume great.

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of both Kim and Tyler, but they both had pretty legit cowboy hats thanks to Tyler's brother.

Just a cowgirl feeding her baby cow some milk :)

We did a best costume contest, we all voted and of course Natalie and RJ won with their old people costumes, so Hilarious! Look at RJ's face! They are holding their best costume trophy that I made, I'm kinda sad I didn't take a picture of it close up because it was pretty sweet.
And yes that is our baby kitty passed out in her swing in the background, she sleeps alot.

It was night and so it was hard to get good pictures and since I was trying to snap some super fast before I forgot they are even worse. But I have to include everyone that came!

This is Justin and Jessica. Justin had a pretty scary costume on with a mask and everything but he was too hot in it and I didn't take any before that. Jessica was biker barbie she had some pretty sweet tall black shiny boots that were perfect, I'm sad I didn't get a picture with them.

These are our neighbors Ben and Hillary. I don't think they'd appreciate this picture very much but it's the only one I got of them. Oh and Ben did have his cowboy hat on earlier...
