Strawberries and Watermelon

This video is from a while ago. It was Brinlee's first encounter with a strawberry. Of course we didn't get the video camera out until the really good stuff was over, but this is still hilarious.

*sorry I can't get the sound to work yet. It's still funny but not the same, I'm working on it*

She has since overcome her fear of strawberries

And really enjoys them

She tried watermelon for the first time a few days ago and loves it!

This is not a look of disgust but rather the camera light hitting her face.
See look how much is gone from her big piece!

Summer food, YUM!

Party Animal

Brinlee has been quite the party animal lately.

Last Monday she went to her cousin Dominic's 1st birthday party.

and happily played with his new toys

Then Grandma came to visit on Thursday

Grandma got Dominic a cute little pool for his birthday and Brinlee LOVED it.

Her new smile is squinty eyes. It's pretty cute.

She was pretty brave, and did a great job.

As you can see, Dominic isn't in there with her yet. He was still sleeping while Brinlee tested out his new birthday present.

He finally woke up and came to join the fun...he was a little out of it at first.

After all that swimming she lounged in her beach chair.

And ate Noah.

 She jumped on the trampoline

Rode the mini merry-go-round at the arcade

And sat on the broken Kermit ride...

See what I mean. Monday birthday party, Thursday playing with Grandma, Friday swimming arcade and out to dinner, Saturday more swimming, Sunday Fathers day, Monday park bowling and arcade again! PARTY ANIMAL!

Happy Fathers Day Daddy!

Written by Brinlee

My Daddy is the greatest daddy ever.
My mommy told me pictures speak louder than words so I'll use lots and lots of pictures and some words to show you how great my daddy is.

He snuggles with me

And let me sleep on him

He carried me around in my sling even though it's girly

He blessed me when I was so teeny tiny

That was a good day

He took me to a pumpkin patch on my first halloween

 He loves to tickle me

 And make me smile

He showed me my first snow

He even played with me under my play gym

He took me swimming, and I LOVE swimming

He gave me his beatiful blue eyes, aren't they pretty?

He always wants to make me happy

And do crazy silly things with me

He helps me walk, because I can't by myself yet

He jumps me on the trampoline

And let me meet kermit the frog!

See what I mean. Isn't he the bestest daddy ever!?!?
I love you daddy!!

Memorial Day, Rashes, and Carousels

Brinlee was very patriotic on memorial day...

Or at least she was dressed patriotic.

We had a BBQ with our friends and played games. It was pretty funny because when the Rowes came in I was holding Brinlee already and she took one look at them and got very scared and was trying to climb up me and nuzzle her face into mine. I was cracking up because it was the funniest and cutest thing.

Rashes. Poor Brinlee. Don't worry I won't she you a picture of ugly rashes. Brinlee has been teething. She already has two teeth that came really smoothly we hardly even noticed a difference in Brinlee. These teeth are giving her trouble and she had an awful day last week where she had a fever from it. And then a couple days later she got a fever rash. I felt so bad for her.

It was the worst where her nice warm diaper was so we let her sit and play in the nude. She loved it.

We had her sit on a towel and a garbage bag just in case. But she did great and just went potty when we took her. She was such a good girl for feeling so miserable.

We've had some good weather here and so we decided to take her to the carousel at the park just down the street.

We put her on the little tiny horses that only go up and down like half and inch.
She obviously looked so cute.

behind the tiny horses there was the bench just in case she got scared when it started going
She didn't actually get scared at all, nor was she happy. She was straight faced the whole time and would follow daddy with her eyes as long as she could see him. It was really funny.

She even got to pet one of the horses.

Daddy was there with us. He was just in charge of pictures and video taping it.
see how serious she was the whole time. We could not get a smile out of her, goof ball.
