A BIG Thanks to My Mom!

My mom was in town last weekend and she took my pregnant sister and I shopping! We went to Idaho Falls and really hit the jack pot at Ross, and of course made a stop by Porter's and Joan's for some cute baby fabrics.

To give you an idea of how awesome my mom is I took a few pictures of what she got me. Sorry the pics aren't that great...

Here's the whole lot...it's a whole lot haha. I know corny.

Here is just the maternity clothes she got me(minus one shirt that's currently dirty). I know right?! My maternity wardrobe went from basically nothing to this! you can't see them very well in this picture but she got me maternity skinny jeans and they are the BEST, so stretchy and so comfy! I love my mom :)

This is the cute diaper bag we scored from T.J.Maxx, well it's not actually a meant to be diaper bag but it's going to serve as a great one. I love it and it was a really good price, cheaper than any plain ugly real diaper bag you can find.

The fabric we scored at Porter's, are those not the cutest owls ever? AND the owls are the oh so very soft minkee fabric and the back is flannel. When we saw the awesome sale we couldn't resist this cute cute fabric...as you can tell I haven't quite sewn it together yet.

*She also got the cutest flannel for a blanket she's making me, which unfortunately means I don't have the fabric to take a picture. And some fabric for a 'nursing cover'*

Haha I love this shirt, and as my mom said "you have to have at least one shirt with a stupid saying on the front".  She actually brought this back for me from Arizona I think, maybe Utah. Just thought you might enjoy it too.

Once again how great is my mom? It's all I will ever need, okay maybe not quite but being poor college students it was a HUGE help. Now I will actually have clothes to wear during my pregnancy. Thanks again mom, love ya!!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!

For my family March is like the Birthday month, and all within two weeks. So a quick happy birthday to my two sisters, my cute little niece, my handsome nephew, and of course my Joey :)

I think I'll just focus on my husbands birthday since it's the most important to me. And I think it's so sweet when people make a little list of good things and such. So here you go. And in case you didn't know his first name is actually Josiah, which I thought would be more fun to use.

J oyful

Joey is a very happy or joyful person. I love when he shares that joy with his cute little niece and nephew and they sure do love him too.

O riginal

I was having a tough time with "o" and when I thought original I still looked it up to see where I could go with that. One of my favorite definitions I found was: genuine and true. That's Joey for ya. He is a very genuine and true person. One way I think he displays this is how much love he has for his brothers and parents. When I see that I see genuine love.

S pecial
I thought this picture would show how "special" he was. Just kidding, it's just for laughs. He is special in the true meaning not sarcastic. There is no one else like my Joey, he is a very special person to me and to his family I'm sure. I love him and all that he has to offer.

I ntelligent
This is the only picture I could find to portray intelligence. Reading means your intelligent right? Maybe not his chick slippers but hey. Again seriously he is very intelligent and he does well in school, I can always count on him to help me with things I don't understand.

A we-inspiring
I love this picture, even though it's from his high school wrestling days I still think it portrays how inspiring he is. He is a very dedicated person so when he sets his mind to something he will do it, whats more inspiring than that?

H andsome
Look at that handsome devil! Okay maybe I'm a little bias but you can't tell me he doesn't look handsome in that picture! He definitely got good looks, i mean just look at that smile! One of the many things I love about him.

One last thing I wanted to share, the cool cake that I made for him on his birthday!!!
Even though it's not really football season, he still loves the Seahawks!

This is my first fondant cake, I've been really wanting to learn how to work with fondant and what better excuse than my husbands birthday? I think it turned out pretty good, I could still use some practice.
