Big Girl In Boots

I first want to just say that last night was glorious! Brinlee slept 9hrs. 40min.! I was so excited when I woke up and was feeling like I got really good sleep to look at my phone in shock of the time! I know it's probably not going to happen every night but I can celebrate right? She wasn't doing terrible before, sleeping 7 hours every night but I just knew she could do better.

I do owe a BIG thanks to babywisemom.com, it's an excellent blog and just what I was looking for because I knew my philosophy but just had too many questions and uncertainties to get it on my own. When I found this blog I was really happy to say the least and have been reading it since Friday trying to find the little things I could do to help her sleeping and her overall schedule.

She is a big girl in boots because she finally grew into her size zero boots that Grandma got for her, thanks Grandma!
Aren't they ADORABLE?!

And even cuter with the whole outfit :)
(sorry our camera isn't that great, every time I blog now I want a new one but that's a ways away for us)

Just kickin' in her new boots

Hahaha I know she's got GREAT style. Okay so we didn't have pants for this cute onesie Wendy got her so I thought it would be funny to just do the boots, Annnnd it was.

As you can tell I started putting them on her with almost every outfit.

She is a big girl for a couple of other reasons:

1. She turned 12 weeks old yesterday and is only 7 days aways from being 3 months old, CRAZY!
2. As you saw the last post she is way more interactive and smiley
3. She is out of almost all her newborn clothes, I packed away her last newborn sleepers and I thought that was everything but then I remembered that she stills wears a couple newborn onesies...but she's pretty much only wearing 0-3 month size now, yay!
4. She tried to roll over on me! Okay so I don't think she's actually going to for a while but when I turned around I found her like this....

I got pretty excited but she's only done that like one other time so she's got a little ways to go still

I know I will find it funny that at only 3 months old I was calling her a big girl, but she's my first and every change is super exciting. It seem like just yesterday she was so tiny at 6lbs 13oz 19in and now she's 11lbs. 22 1/4in.

Smiles

Brinlee is quite the smiley girl lately so I thought I'd share some ones we caught, although now I wish I would have captured more. But hey we were too busy adoring her and her smiles to get the camera most of the time :)

This is the very first smile we caught on camera of Brinlee. It's still our favorite, I don't know that it's necessarily the best one but there is just something about that first one that we can't get over.

One happy girl this morning

Grandma asked me yesterday to send her a picture of Brinlee happily laying on her blanket. To make a long story short this is the best I could do, blog it for her.

Big smiles in her seahawks onesie that Auntie Wendy got her

I love this one because it looks like she just threw her head back and gave a big ole gut laugh

While we're showing off smiles we might as well show off her mega frown or mega pout...she was not happy about me taking her out of her warm bath. Makes me laugh every time!

Are those not the BIGGEST cheeks you've EVER seen!!??

Let me just say I was so excited when I finally caught one of these because she does it a lot but whenever I get out the camera she won't do it again.
(sorry the pictures not that great I was in a hurry to take the picture while holding her)

Fall Pumpkin Pickin'

On Friday we decided to have a little family outing the U-Pick Red Barn. It was tons of fun.

Look how happy she was that we were going!

Okay maybe Joey and I were the ones who were actually excited. We always joke that we are going to be like Cam and Mitchell with Lily...except not gay and with Brinlee. How they are always taking her to things that she is way too young to care about anyways :)

P.S. aren't her smiles so precious?!
We packed her up (in her cute Halloween outfit that I made the bottoms for) and headed out

We took some pictures on the hay bales...

All three of us

And went to the pumpkin patch to find us some good pumpkins.

Where's Brinlee?

 There she is!

 Oh hi there!

All in all it was a great day and we got some pretty sweet pumpkins!

Brinlee's Blessing Day

The Sunday after we got back to Rexburg we had Brinlee blessed. It was really nice to have some of our family and friends there to celebrate with us. Since Nana was here she got pictures for me to use :)

Everyone that made it

 With he Mommy and Daddy

With Nana and Papa

 With Grandma and Grandpa

I just had to get picture of her in her blessing dress because I am SO proud of it. I made it. The whole thing. Even the pattern. And I LOVE how it turned out.

 The back

 What a cutie!

And that cute white blanket she's laying on was a gift from my good friends Jeanelle, she got it for her in Bethlehem.

Doesn't she look so old in this picture! Okay maybe just to me who sees her everyday.

So happy she got to wear it finally :)

And Daddy was getting a little jealous of all the pictures Brinlee was getting...

Brinlee's First Trip to Spokane

Brinlee took her first road trip, and to a wonderful place :)

sadly we forgot to bring our extra camera battery so I barely snapped one picture before it died...

Kim and Dominic rode with us and I captured Dominic naked in his car seat...he had TWO blow out diapers on the way there and Kim finally just gave up.

Luckily Nana is REALLY good at remembering to take pictures, she captured some priceless ones

My parents knew we were coming but Joey's did not. They thought that just Joey was coming back to work for a week with his dad and that Brinlee and I were staying behind. It was so much fun to surprise them, and they were SO excited that we came along.

Brinlee was a little ticked that we would leave her with Papa :)

Just kidding she loves her Papa

And her Nana...she loved to just lay there and talk with her. Look at that concentration, Nana must be telling her a really interesting story.

And who doesn't love to snuggle?

Can you tell we took advantage of being able to leave Brinlee behind :)

I'm kind of sad that we didn't get any pictures of her with my parents, but I'm sure next time I can catch some good ones, if I remember to bring a fully charged camera battery...
