OKAY......now prepare for an abnormally long post with abnormal amounts of pictures.
Okay so this was actually on our trip back from Spokane but I thought it was so funny that she fell asleep holding her rings. So not like her (she likes to be swaddle and in her crib).
And this is actually in February. We had to go pick up Daddy from the school and it was Brinlee's bed time. Well shes was just going to have to wait until we got back. But she just couldn't make it. I mean with the super long trip to campus and all. And I thought it was even more funny that she actually fell asleep with the toy in hand and mouth!
Besides sleeping, Brinlee has been showing off all her cuteness.
This is the outfit Nana got her back in Spoakne.
Oh and please ignore our piles of laundry in the background.
Sometimes Brinlee goes outside with me to check the mail or something.
Kim was kind enough to watch Brinlee while we went to a movie with our friends.
Look at Brinlee looking at Dominic like "Umm these are my toys, what are you doing?"
They each get a side toy and fight over the middle one.
Then Dominic remembered that he is quite mobile...
Another exciting event this month...I threw my very good friend Natalie a baby shower!
Thats her holding her cute belly on the right.
The other guests.
Natalie opening her presents.
I put up some of Brinlee's old onesies for decoration.
And made these really cute sugar cookies that I wish tasted better.
But hey they looked fabulous!
And I even made cute labels for the water bottles.
But I had to save the best picture for last. I made a tree! Yup. Out of butcher paper. It turned out just how I imagined and I loved it! She doesn't know what she is having so I had to do gender nuetral. And since Natalie was doing a tree on her quilt I thought I would make the shower sort of tree themed, and green.
AWESOME!
Okay next event.
Here's Brinlee on valentines day with her valentines outfit.
We got her a pink princess rubber ducky for valentines.
Look at her just staring at it.
Then her and Daddy played catch with it. she's pretty good at throwing...
But super good at catching! :)
So my parents stopped by for a visit at the beginning of February but I don't have any pictues from it. I think my mom has some...but she's not really the best with technology, so....
Joey's parents also came to visit towards the end of February.
Here she is with Nana
And Papa. He's trying to convince her to come home with them.
We had stake conference the Sunday they were here and we were lucky enough to have one of the twelve apostles speak. It was wonderful. And here is Brinlee in her cute sunday atire.
Okay on a side note. We really wanted to get a bench for stake conference so Joey and his dad went two hours early. Yes TWO hours. Where did we get a seat? About five rows back on the metal chairs! Why? Because I guess people had come the night before and layed out their coast on all the benches. So when Joey and his dad showed up two hours early planning on sitting and waiting they couldn't even get a bench. Dumb. But oh well it was still a great stake conference. Sorry about that rant.
The most exciting news for this month....
BRINLEE STARTED POTTY TRAINING!!
Yup, you read it right. potty training. How old is she? 6 months.
Doesn't she just look so cute sitting on her little princess potty chair?
So why in the heck are we already potty training her? Because we have this really awesome lady in our ward named Lisa and she did an enrichment night on wednesday about infant potty training. She starts from the very beginning however, like day one. Crazy talk right? No awesome. Pure awesome! She has three girls that she has done it with and it has been very succesful. There's got to be something working since she's done it with three very succesfully.
Putting them in panties between 9 and 11 months. That means that by the time Brinlee is walking she can be completely potty trained and running around in panties, no daipers! GET OUT! I want that! So cool. And can you imagine how mcuh money you save on diapers?! Anyways I could go on and on about what she talked about but I won't bore you. Unless you are interested feel free to contact me for more info.
Okay just for the record. I started the next day with Brinlee, so Thursday. I didn't starts until later in the day because we had a rough morning together. But I did start still. She peed once in the potty AND she pooped in the potty!!! Okay I was so stinkin excited! I didn't have to change a poopy diaper! We were loving her and praising her more than ever before! I have never in my life been so excited about poop. I was pretty happy and would say we had a scucesful day. One of the keys is to always be happy about it, celebrate the ones you catch and don't sweat the ones you miss.
Okay so day two, Friday. I was feeling very succesful with four pees in the potty! She didn't need to go poo poo that day.
Day three, Saturday. It wasn't our best day but we still did it and loved it. She peed two times in the potty. Go Brinlee!
Sunday, day four. I wasn't really confident about doing it while at church my first sunday so I decided not to worry about it this time at church. But I think I'll be ready for next week. Okay anyways, when we got home she pooped first thing on the potty!! YAY!! second poopy diaper I don't have to change. And she peed two more times the rest of the day. Good day.
Lastly today, Monday. It's only eleven so we still have most of the day left. But so far she's peed two times in the potty AND pooped in the potty already!!! My favorite! The day is over and it was our most succesfull, SEVEN pees and TWO poops! WAHOOO!
I know that since I started late and she's used to sitting in her pee already that it's going to take a little while for her to want to hold her pee in until I take her. BUT I think she really does already want to hold in her poop because she has only gone on the potty since we started! Which it makes sense that that would click earlier because I'm sure sitting in your own poop is even less pleasent that sitting in your pee. Plus babies are VERY smart, much smarter than we think. So I hope I didn't jinx my luck but she totally poops on the potty every time!
It's only been four and a half days and we have alreaday saved quite a few diapers. So exciting! And don't make fun of me for being so excited about this, it's really awesome. I haven't said that yet have I? ;)
