Goodbye Rexburg, Hello Spokane!

It was a little crazy for a while.  All of the sudden we decide that we need to head to Spokane, until school started up for us again, where both our families are so that Joey can get some work with his dad...because as poor college students on off track with no scholarships to live off, we need the money.  The plan to find a job in Rexburg was a joke, we quickly found our that everyone in Rexburg is looking for a job. And by staying with our parents that meant free rent! So we were fortunate enough to sell our apartment contract very quickly

What a great blessing it was to even have this as an option, to have family to take us in on such short notice, to have parents that own a business so we can work for them, and to be able to sell our contract.

How ironic it was that once we had this all planned out and then, to make a long story short, Joey was offered a job at Melalueca and I was offered one at Porter's. I know right??!! Well Joey was offered the job first and after going over finances, with it being a very part time job, we could not afford to stay in Rexburg for him to take it. Even though it meant a job in Rexburg for the long run of schooling, and at a place we really wanted to work.  A few days after turning down the Melalueca job I got the call from Porter's and unfortunately had to tell them I was heading out of town until January.  And I so badly wanted to work there, because I love that store! (more on that later).

It seemed like such a bummer to have it happen that way, where we had to turn down jobs that we both really would have liked and definitely needed.  But after a trip to the temple we realized that it was a blessing really, that we needed to come back to Spokane for more reasons than we probably know yet.  But I know that we will be blessed for our faithfulness and hard work. And hopefully we will be able to tie something down when we get back to Rexburg.  As my mom once said, "Heavenly Father is so much wiser than I am." What an amazing mother I have.

Okay...so I captured a few pictures of the quick move. We packed up on Monday, brought stuff to the storage unit. And then Tuesday we cleaned, cleaned, cleaned! And cleaned some more! And left for the drive the next morning.

this is when we were almost done so the stuff on the floor was way cleaner than earlier

When I was cleaning out the fridge I thought it was pretty cool that I could fit in it.

...and so can Joey!

No we are not drugged in any of these pictures we were simply exhausted.
And no we don't where matching cleaning gloves because we don't want to get our hands icky, we simply needed them so our hands wouldn't fall off into a pile of dried prunes from all the scrubbing.
But it did feel good when our, let's just say picky, apartment manager loved how clean it was and was so impressed that she offered to be a reference if we ever needed one, and said she would welcome us back into the complex with a waved application fee (not that that will ever happen).

After  staying up til four in the morning cleaning and then waking up at 7 to get the last few things done before clean check and then leaving for the seven hour drive right after we were pretty beat.  But, we are glad to be back in Spokane with family and friends. Sorry if this bored you, but it's for the record really.
